Many of the issues associated with DVR function can be diagnosed from the diagnostic menu of the converter. To access the diagnostic menu:
- With the converter powered on, press “Power” followed by “Select”
- Scroll down to the line “DVR/HDD Status”, push “Select”.
The first thing we want to confirm is that the DVR Status/Enabled=”True”. If the state is “False”, then either the Guide has not completely loaded or the service is not activated in the billing system. If both of those items have been confirmed, the hard drive may be defective. Contact your sales rep for a repair order.
