Orange Duplex Multimode 2mm Jacket, lc/upc-sc/upc- 5 meters
Fiber Jumper; Duplex cable consists of two fibers, usually in a zipcord (side-by-side)
style. Use duplex multimode or singlemode fiber optic cable for applications that require
simultaneous, bi-directional data transfer. Workstations, fiber switches and servers, fiber
modems, and similar hardware require duplex cable. Multimode fiber is typically used for
short distance, data and audio/video applications in LANs. RF broadband signals, such as
what cable companies commonly use, cannot be transmitted over multimode fiber. Above:
Multimode fiber is usually 50/125 and 62.5/125 in construction.
Connectors- lc/upc- lc stands for lucent connector is a small form factor connector. It is about
half the size of an sc connector, measuring 1.25 ferrule. Optical connectors are used for connection
between network devices at data centers and for the connection of fiber optic cable to equipment on customer
premises (e.g. FTTH). LC/UPC-means that the lc connector is ultra polished, with no angle. With UPC connectors,
any reflected light is reflected straight back towards the light source.
SC/UPC- adopts an extended polish method to realize finer fiber surface finish, which brings much lower back
reflection (ORL) and thus provides much more reliable signal in data center, digital TV and telephone. SC stands for subscriber connector and is a standard-duplex fiber-optic connector with a square molded plastic body and
push-pull locking features. SC connectors are typically used in data communication, CATV, and telephony
environments.
