The Blonder Tongue BIDA 550-50 is a broadband indoor distribution amplifier engineered for CATV, SMATV, and MATV RF distribution systems that use a cable drop as the input signal source. It delivers approximately 50 dB of flat gain across the 47-550 MHz frequency range, supporting robust forward-path distribution with low distortion. This self-contained unit incorporates push-pull hybrid technology and front-panel gain and slope controls, with back-matched test ports for in-service verification. For 2-way operation, optional field-installable diplexers and return amplifiers are used to provide either an active or passive 5-30 MHz return. Passive return configurations require only the diplexers, whereas active return requires the installation of both the diplexers and the amplifier.
